Ruturaj Garden is our covered event hall and garden in Aldona, North Goa, 700 m from Happy Moon Homestay. It takes up to 500 guests for Hindu and Christian weddings, haldi and mehendi, receptions, corporate offsites, yoga retreats, birthdays and family functions. What does the venue have?
- Covered hall for up to 500 guests: a tall steel roof with open sides, so it stays airy in the day. Ceiling fans throughout.
- Stage: a raised stage at one end for a mandap, the couple’s seats, a band or a speaker and screen.
- Garden courtyard: a paved courtyard with palms and flowering plants, good for a haldi, welcome drinks or photographs.
- Arched entrance: a turquoise arched gateway that takes flowers and lights well for the guest arrival.
- Facilities: adequate parking for guests, toilets, power backup and an in-house sound system.
- Rooms on site and nearby: 3 AC Hall Rooms in the same building and the 5-room Happy Moon villa 700 m away for the families (see below).

Hindu weddings
The stage takes a full mandap, and the hall seats your guests facing the pheras. Marigold torans can hang from the roof beams, and the courtyard is free for the baraat arrival.
Haldi and mehendi
The garden courtyard suits a smaller morning ceremony for close family before the wedding day.
Christian weddings and receptions
After the church service, bring everyone back for a Goan reception: round tables, fairy lights along the beams, the cake and the first dance, with music until 10 pm.
Corporate events and offsites
Theatre seating for town halls, product launches, training days and annual meets, with a screen on the stage and a tea and snacks counter along the side. Teams can stay in our rooms and spend the evenings in a quiet Goan village.
Yoga retreats and wellness days
The side hall has a smooth tiled floor and garden air on two sides: room for a large group class in the morning before it warms up.
Birthdays, anniversaries and family functions
Naming ceremonies, first birthdays, 25th and 50th anniversaries, reunions and festival get-togethers.
How do catering, decor and music work?
- Catering: bring your own caterer. They set up on site and serve your menu, veg or non-veg.
- Decor: bring your own decorator.
- Music: use our in-house sound system or bring your DJ or band; amplified music is fine until 10 pm, which is the Goa noise rule for outdoor events. After 10 pm the sound goes off.
- Timings: tell us your set-up, event and clean-up times when you enquire, and we plan the day around them.
Stay and event packages
Ruturaj Garden has 3 Hall Rooms upstairs, and the 5-room Happy Moon villa is a 700 m walk away, so up to 25 of your people can sleep next to the venue. Some ways guests combine them:
- Wedding weekend: the bride’s side gets ready in the Hall Rooms right above the hall; the groom’s family or close relatives take the entire villa. Haldi or mehendi in the garden courtyard the day before, the wedding in the hall the next day.
- Christian wedding and reception: church in the morning, reception at Ruturaj Garden in the evening, and out-of-town family in the villa for the weekend.
- Corporate offsite, 2 to 3 days: sessions and dinners in the hall, the team of up to 25 in the villa and Hall Rooms, breakfasts and meals from our family kitchen at the villa.
- Yoga or wellness retreat: morning classes for a large group in the side hall, a smaller group living together in the villa, more participants in the Hall Rooms.
- Birthday, anniversary or reunion: the function at Ruturaj Garden, with elders and out-of-town relatives staying overnight a short walk away.

How much does the venue cost?
The venue is quoted on request, because a 40-person yoga morning and a 500-guest wedding need very different days. Send us the date, the type of event, the guest count and the hours you need on WhatsApp +91 95034 25896, and we reply with availability and a quote. We accept cash, UPI and bank transfer.
Why hold your event in Aldona?
Aldona is one of North Goa’s greenest villages, with paddy fields, the Mapusa river and old Goan houses. It is 40 minutes from Mopa airport and 20 minutes from Thivim station, and far from the beach traffic, so guests arrive easily and the day stays relaxed.
